The Movie Book
The Art of The Adventures of Tintin with forewords by Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson

The animation, visual effects and conceptual design for the movie are being created by Weta, the multi-Academy Award-winning company based in New Zealand that helped create global blockbusters such as The Lord of the Rings, King Kong and Avatar. Limited Edtion of Facsimile Train Brochure French Only
A facsimile of a brochure published by Belgian National Railways (the SNCB) in 1935. This document bears witness to the close relationship between Tintin, Hergé and trains
On 10 January 1929, Tintin and Snowy set off on their first adventure from a Brussels railway station. Tintin travels much of the world Europe, Africa, Asia, and North and South America by train.
Many of the most memorable sequences in his adventures Tintin in the Land of the Soviets, Tintin in the Congo, Tintin in America, The Blue Lotus, The Broken Ear, The Black Island, Prisoners of the Sun and The Calculus Affair, among others are played out on trains, along railway tracks, and in or around railway stations.
Anyone who has read Tintin knows that the little reporter likes to take the train: the only time he is sure to take another form of transport is when he is flying to the Moon!

Hergé In His Own Words
Hergé was one of the greatest artist of the Twentieth Century, but while he is celebrated for his artistic achievements, many people forget that he was equally talented with words. Using as his source material a rich assortment of transcribed inerviews and Hergé's own correspondence, the author reveals rare pearls, anthologies, amusing notes and scathing letters, in which the creator of Tintin expresses himself openly and honestly. While the transformation of George Remi into Hergé happened almost overnight, it took Hergé a lot longer to learn how to return to simply being Georges. The pages that follow reveal both men to be neither angels nor devils through a rich tapestry of reflections and thoughts revealing gentle humour, seriousness, tenderness, love and friendship.
